Published on Oct 25, 2023 11:38

The Indian rupee edged up marginally today as the US dollar saw mildly negative movement. The dollar index is staying around mark as the US 10 year treasury yields extended a drop from highs above 5% to currently quote at 4.82%. Markets are still trying to fully comprehend the risk assessment in world economy and emerging market currencies are closely watching the cues from the Dollar index. The Indian Rupee is quoting at 83.14 per US dollar right now, up marginally on the day. There is nothing much on the local economic front that can offer a significant push to the INR and near term action is likely to be choppy.
