Euro Sees Impressive Jump, Nears One Week High

The Euro edged up today as a break above the key 1.1000 mark pushed up the single currency against the US dollar ahead of a data deluge. The market is focused on the US Consumer Price Index and will also eye weekly unemployment claims data. A couple of Fed officials are also due for talks today. Atlanta Fed chief, Raphael Bostic and his peer at the Philly Fed, Patrick Harker will deliver speeches and the fx market participants will keep a close watch on them for any clues on the monetary policy direction. The EURUSD is currently quoting at 1.1042, up 0.40% on the day and is fast approaching its one week high. On the NSE, the EURINR futures are quoting at 91.35, up 0.33% on the day after closing above the 91 mark in last session.
