Dollar Index Speculators Further Reduce Net Long Positions

The large currency market speculators further reduced their net long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 3137 contracts in the data reported through December 26, 2023. This was a weekly decline of 805 net contracts after falling by 13,659 contacts in the week prior which was at its lowest level since September 05.
