Dollar Index Speculative Long Positions Dip Marginally

The large currency market speculators marginally reduced its long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 19167 contracts in the data reported through October 17, 2023. This was a marginal weekly decline of 310 net contracts but the net longs stayed near its highest level so far this year.
