Commodities Buzz: Dollar Index Speculative Longs Hit Ten Month High

The large currency market speculators continued to increase their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 18815 contracts in the data reported through October 3, 2023. This was a weekly rise of 2057 net contracts and net longs are at ten month high.
