Commodities Buzz: Dollar Index Speculative Longs Edge Higher

The large currency market speculators marginally increased their net long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 19471 contracts in the data reported through November, 2023. This was a marginal weekly gain of 486 net contracts.
