Quarterly results are a company’s financial performance over the course of a three-month period. These results are reported in the form of a quarterly earnings report, which includes the company’s revenue, expenses, profits, losses, and other financial metrics. Quarterly results are typically released at the end of each quarter and are used by investors and analysts to assess the health of a company’s business. Companies listed on stock exchanges must mandatorily publicly release such quarterly reports.
You can find a company’s quarterly results uploaded on various online portals. Ideally, you can check out the company’s official website or the BSE’s and National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) websites to find digital copies of the same.
All the listed Indian companies are required to file their quarterly results with the stock exchange on a regular basis every quarter. The financial reportrs are submitted in the months of June, September, December and March.
The quarterly results are important to track the financial and operational performance of the companies and understand the strategies laid down for the next quarters. Companies also provide Y-o-Y comparison of their quarterly performance to make the stakeholder's understanding easier.
