Pound Speculators Net Long Positions Edge Higher

Large currency speculators in the Pound futures market continued to add on to net long positions, although marginally, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Pound futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net long position of 31437 contracts in the data reported through January 23 2024. This was a weekly increase of 506 net contracts and continues to stay at its highest level in nearly four months.
