Pound Speculators Sharply Reduce Net Short Positions

Large currency speculators pulled back sharply to reduce their net short positions in the Pound futures market, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Pound futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net short position of 7895 contracts in the data reported through November 28, 2023, a near one-month low. This was a weekly decline of 18,203 net contracts.
