MARGINAL FALL IN US DOLLAR SPECULATIVE LONG POSITION

The large currency market speculators marginally trimmed their net long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 18985 contracts in the data reported through October 31, 2023. This was a marginal weekly drop of 686 net contracts. The net longs have now slightly slipped from highest level this year.
