DOLLAR INDEX SPECULATORS MARGINALLY INCREASE NET LONG POSITIONS

The large currency market speculators increased although marginally their net long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 2910 contracts in the data reported through January 09, 2024. This was a weekly rise of 487 net contracts but continued to stay at its lowest level in over 4 months.
