    ICICI Direct NRI Account

    What is NRI re-KYC process?

    NRI Account Reactivation (Re-KYC) 

    Re-KYC is required if your NRI Trading account has remained inactive for more than two years, as per applicable regulatory requirements.

    Online Re-KYC Process

    login to your ICICI Direct account and complete the video eKYC process by uploading the required documents and completing the verification.

    Step 1: Initiate Reactivation

    1. Log in to the ICICI Direct website
    2. Navigate to Place Order
    3. A pop-up will appear stating that the account is inactive
    4. Click "Activate Now" to initiate the reactivation process

    Step 2: Verify Existing Details

    1. Confirm existing details such as email ID, mobile number, and general profile details
    2. Complete Mobile OTP verification
    3. Complete Email OTP verification

    Step 3: Complete Video eKYC

    1. You will be redirected to complete the Video eKYC process
    2. Once Video eKYC is successfully completed, the account is reactivated

     

    Customer can update following demographic details, while updating KYC:

    • Name
    • Email
    • Mobile Number

    These details shall get updated in Trading Account, Mutual Fund Segment, KRA, UCC, CERSAI

    Note: For updating KYC or change in contact details, address change in Savings Account or demat, or kindly visit the nearest ICICI Bank branch.

     Offline Re-KYC Process:

    Download and fill the Re-KYC form, attached the required supporting documents, and submit them as per the instructions provided on the website.

    In case you are in India and want to update your KYC or details, request you to follow below steps.

    Steps:

    1. Mark an email to nri@icicidirect.com for Re-KYC form, team shall share the Re-KYC form.

    2. Ensure to fill the form and send to below given address along with the following documents:

    Required Documents:

    • Re-KYC Request Form
    • Valid Passport Copy
    • Valid Visa
    • Overseas Address Proof
    • PAN Card Copy

    Attestation Requirement

    The documents must be attested by any one of the following authorities:

    • Indian Embassy / Consulate General
    • Notary Public
    • Court Magistrate / Judge
    • Local Banker in the country where the NRI / FN resides

    Note: If attestation is done by an ICICI Bank employee or Notary, the KYC form must also be attested. For other types of attestation, attestation on the KYC form is not mandatory.

    Once the documents are verified and processed, the account will be reactivated.

    Important: To update details in the Demat account, you must courier the signed form generated during the flow to:
