Naraingarh Sugar Mills Limited (NSML) was incorporated on 1st August, 1991. The Company is engaged in the business of manufacturing of white sugar and by-products having facilities located at Village Banondi, Haryana. The mill was established in participation with HSIIDC and HAIC. In December 1996, the commercial production commenced operations with an installed capacity of 2500 TCD along with 5 MW Co-generation for captive consumption. Presently, the Company has an installed capacity of 4000 TCD along with co-generation of 25 MW which runs throughout the year. During the crushing season, it runs on baggase as the main fuel and for the remaining 6 months uses paddy straw stubble as a major source of fuel along with other biomass. The co-generation project has several advantages in terms of availability of required space, suitability from topographical and geological considerations, availability of rail/road networks, sugar availability, water availability and nearest grid connectivity for operating the project. Besides this, the Company has an in house storage facilities & residential complexes spread over an area of nearly 110 acres. At present, area of the mill comprises of about 60,000 hectares in 350 villages with more than 9000 sugar cane growers already associated with the sugar factory giving direct access to sugarcane fields.
