Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index records a surge of 1.53%

Nifty Realty index ended up 1.53% at 442.6 today. The index has added 19.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Macrotech Developers Ltd jumped 3.70%, Godrej Properties Ltd added 1.87% and Phoenix Mills Ltd rose 1.68%. The Nifty Realty index has decreased 1.00% over last one year compared to the 5.15% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index increased 1.07% and Nifty Auto index added 0.76% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.57% to close at 17915.05 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.58% to close at 60649.38 today.
