Quick Wrap: Nifty Private Bank Index declines 0.87%

Nifty Private Bank index ended down 0.87% at 18942.7 today. The index is up 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bandhan Bank Ltd slipped 2.19%, HDFC Bank Ltd shed 1.91% and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd fell 1.23%. The Nifty Private Bank index is up 11.00% over last one year compared to the 20.48% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index is down 0.87% and Nifty Auto index has dropped 0.84% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.31% to close at 17475.65 while the SENSEX is down 0.41% to close at 58338.93 today.
