Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index records a surge of 3.19%

Nifty Metal index ended up 3.19% at 5797.5 today. The index has added 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Enterprises Ltd jumped 18.92%, Hindustan Copper Ltd gained 2.07% and Vedanta Ltd rose 1.97%. The Nifty Metal index has increased 6.00% over last one year compared to the 15.85% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index increased 2.49% and Nifty Pharma index increased 0.99% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.61% to close at 18314.4 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.38% to close at 61963.68 today.
