Quick Wrap: Nifty Financial Services Index records a surge of 1.55%

Nifty Financial Services index ended up 1.55% at 19479.35 today. The index has added 7.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd rose 7.17%, Bajaj Finance Ltd added 3.40% and Muthoot Finance Ltd jumped 2.77%. The Nifty Financial Services index has increased 20.00% over last one year compared to the 9.46% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index increased 1.23% and Nifty Metal index added 1.22% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.92% to close at 18255.8 while the SENSEX increased 0.91% to close at 61749.25 today.
