Quick Wrap: Nifty Bank Index rises 2.32%

Nifty Bank index closed up 2.32% at 37695.9 today. The index is up 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, AU Small Finance Bank Ltd gained 6.70%, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd jumped 3.75% and Bandhan Bank Ltd added 3.50%. The Nifty Bank index is up 19.00% over last one year compared to the 26.24% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index added 2.12% and Nifty Financial Services index increased 2.02% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.67% to close at 17925.25 while the SENSEX added 0.61% to close at 60223.15 today.
